FROM CHAOS TO CREATIVITY
“Messier Than Ever” reflects my work to accept and embrace persistent “messiness” in the world, in my personal life, and on the canvas. The Hebrew, Tohu Va'Vohu, is taken from the Creation story in Genesis and suggests a state of chaos and disorder, an amorphous inchoate feeling that is -- somehow! -- also a state of bewildered amazement. Are our "messes" precisely what drive our creativity? This collection is a call to let it happen, one foot in front of another -- beautifully.
